Calico Cottage
This is Calico Cottage. It's in Hope, which is a village in the Peak District. The cottage itself sits on a farm that doesn't have livestock anymore, so it's quiet. It looks out over fields and onto National Trust land.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything is in good order and well-equipped. The stairs inside are steep and spiral, so you need to be careful on them.
There's a pub you can walk to in about ten minutes. Hope village is about a mile away, where you'll find a few more pubs, cafes, and shops. The farm is right at the start of the Great Ridge walk, so you can be up on the path in minutes. Castleton, with its caves and castle, is two miles away.
For other days out, Chatsworth House, Buxton, and Bakewell are all within a 20-minute drive. There's fly fishing about 15 minutes away by car, and local places for horse riding and golf.
Inside, there's a wood burning stove, a dishwasher, washing machine, and fast broadband. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the cottage and a garden area. No pets.
