Bank Cottage
Bank Cottage is in Grindleford. It’s a double fronted cottage on a quiet lane. The lane goes uphill a bit, so you get a decent view across the valley from the front windows.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s been done up to a high standard with good quality stuff. It’s comfortable, not just posh.
You’ve got a decent enclosed garden out the back. Good for kids or a dog, but we don’t take pets, sorry. There’s off-road parking for two cars on the drive.
The local pub is about a two minute walk down the lane. They do food. The nearest shop is about a mile and a half away in Hathersage. Hathersage has an open air swimming pool, which is nice in summer. You’re right on the edge of the Peak District National Park, so there are walks straight from the door.
You’re about ten minutes’ drive from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall if you like that sort of thing. Bakewell is maybe fifteen minutes away for the market. Eyam, the plague village, is just up the road.
Inside, it’s got everything you’d expect: good WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them.
