Silcrest is in Baslow. It's a stone semi-detached cottage. The village is nice, it's right on the edge of Chatsworth Park.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's well looked after and comfortable.
The back garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got a dog. There's a sunroom at the side that people tend to use for muddy boots and drying coats. There's a utility room with a washing machine. The garden has a hose and tap for washing muddy paws.
Inside, the kitchen is good, you've got a dishwasher. The living room has a coal effect fire in a stone hearth. The stairs are normal.
The front door is wheelchair accessible, but it's a cottage so the bathroom is upstairs and the internal doors are standard width.
The local pub is about 800 yards away. There's a shop about 400 yards away. There's a Michelin-starred restaurant about 50 yards from the cottage.
You're well placed for walking. You can walk straight into Chatsworth Park from the village. The Baslow, Curbar and Froggatt edges are all close by. Bakewell is a few minutes' drive for shops and cafes.
For days out, Chatsworth House is obviously very close. Chatsworth is a proper day out. Haddon Hall is beautiful and about a 15 minute drive. The Monsal Trail for cycling is nearby. Buxton with the opera house is about half an hour away. Alton Towers is within an hour if that's your thing.
Facilities: everything's included like bedding, towels, electricity. There's WiFi, a TV, a cot and highchair if needed. Parking is on site. You can bring one dog.
