Rustic Barn
Rustic Barn is in Over Haddon, near Bakewell. It's one of a few barns around a yard. You get on-site parking.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, so no big queues in the morning. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well inside. The walls between the barns are solid, so it's quiet.
The village is tiny, just a few houses. The pub is two minutes' walk. They serve good food, so you don't have to drive if you don't want to. The nearest shop for basics is in Bakewell, about two miles away.
You can walk straight from the door onto the footpaths. You're right on the edge of Lathkill Dale. It's a proper start for a walk without needing the car. The Monsal Trail for cycling is a few miles away if you hire bikes.
Bakewell has everything: shops, a market, places to eat. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth are both within twenty minutes by car. You can get to places like Castleton or Dovedale in under an hour.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding is included. We have a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
