Monsal Cottage

Monsal Cottage is on our farm in Over Haddon. It's a one bedroom cottage that sleeps two people. It's a single storey place, so everything is on the ground floor. The front door is wheelchair accessible and there's a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating.

You get your own little patio area with a table and chairs. The view from there is just fields and dry stone walls. It's very quiet.

There's off-road parking right outside. We provide towels and bedding. There's a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. You're welcome to bring up to three dogs. We leave some fresh milk for you when you arrive. You'll probably see our sheep in the field next to the drive.

The nearest pub is about a mile and a half away in Monyash. They do food. Bakewell is closer for shops and cafes, maybe a 20 minute walk across the fields. It's a nice walk down, but remember it's uphill coming back.

For walking, you can just go straight out from the door. The footpath to Monsal Head starts nearby. The Peak District National Park site has good trail maps. Chatsworth House is about a 20 minute drive. You can book tickets on the Chatsworth website.
