Little Hoot
Little Hoot is in Baslow, right in the Peak District. It's attached to our house, but it's completely separate for you. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's clean and comfortable.
The main thing is the roof terrace. It's walled, up a flight of stairs, and it looks straight out over the Chatsworth Estate. The view is really something. There's a gate from the terrace that goes straight into the woods. You can walk from there into Chatsworth Park, or up onto Baslow Edge.
The village is nice. There's a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a Michelin-starred place if that's your thing. Everything is within walking distance.
Bakewell is about ten minutes by car. Eyam, the plague village, is about the same. Matlock Bath, with the cable car up to the Heights of Abraham, is twenty minutes. Buxton is half an hour away. If you really want a big day out, Alton Towers is under an hour.
What's here: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. The shower is good. It's open plan downstairs. There's no garden, just the roof terrace. No pets, sorry.
