Freebirch Barn

Freebirch Barn is in Derbyshire, right on the edge of the Peak District. It's a converted barn on our land, down a private lane. It's quiet here.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The conversion was done well. The kitchen is solid ash with granite tops, and there's an oak floor through the living area. It's a bright space.

The stairs up to the bedrooms are a typical barn conversion staircase. They're not open-tread, but they are quite steep and turn a corner.

You've got a private patio area with a table and chairs. There's parking right outside.

For facilities, it's got WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, and a washer. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.

Location wise, you're about a five minute drive from Baslow village. There's a shop, a couple of pubs, and cafes there. The local pub is about a mile and a half walk down the lane.

Chatsworth House is very close, maybe two miles. You can walk into the park from Baslow. The Chatsworth website has all the visiting information. Bakewell is about ten minutes by car. Haddon Hall is on the way there.

You're well placed for walking straight from the door. For planning walks, the Peak District National Park site is useful. For other days out, National Trust Peak District has their properties.

Chesterfield is about twenty minutes drive for a bigger shop. Sheffield is about half an hour if you need a city or the theatres.
