Freebirch Barn

This is Freebirch Barn. It's in Freebirch, which is right on the edge of the Peak District. It's a two-bedroom barn conversion, so it sleeps four. It's got one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's a comfortable, modern conversion.

The main space is open plan, with the kitchen and living area together. It's got an oak floor and a solid ash kitchen with granite tops. It's a good, solid conversion. You get a private patio garden area to use. There's parking right there.

You're down a private lane to get to it. The lane is also a public footpath, so you might see the odd walker going past. It's a quiet spot.

For facilities, you've got WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's bike storage if you bring them. Sorry, no pets.

The location is the main thing. Chatsworth House is about a ten minute drive. You can walk into the park from Baslow village, which is close. Bakewell is about ten minutes the other way. It's got a good market on Mondays. The Monsal Trail for cycling is nearby.

Haddon Hall is about fifteen minutes away. It's a different sort of historic house, more medieval.

If you want a bigger town, Chesterfield is twenty minutes away. Sheffield is about thirty-five minutes, if you need shops or theatres.
