The Pig Sty
The Pig Sty is a cottage on our farm in Cutthorpe. It's down a private lane so it's quiet. You get fields and woods right outside.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both a good size, and two bathrooms. One bathroom is en-suite to the twin room. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are fine.
Downstairs is all one room. There's a kitchen area, a dining table, and a sitting area with a wood burner. The TV's there. The walls are original stone. It has underfloor heating downstairs.
Outside there's a private, enclosed garden. It has a covered hot tub. Towels and robes for it are included.
You can walk straight from the door into the woods or to Linacre Reservoirs. Peak District National Park paths are very close. Chesterfield is about ten minutes drive if you need shops. It has that famous crooked spire church.
There are two pubs in the village you can walk to. Both do food and allow dogs. The nearest shop is a couple of miles away.
Chatsworth House is about a ten minute drive. It's a big day out. Bakewell, Matlock, and Castleton are all within half an hour for a visit. For other historic houses, Bolsover Castle and Hardwick Hall are also within that sort of distance.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
The cottage can be booked with two other barns on the farm if you need space for more people.
