The Barn
The Barn is in Holymoorside, which is just outside Chesterfield. It's right on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It's a detached barn conversion, so it's on its own. You're not sharing anything.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one double and one single. One bathroom with a shower, upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up recently, so everything works and it's clean. The garden has a patio with seating and there's a covered bit outside for drying wet clothes.
It's a proper little village. There are two pubs about five minutes' walk away. One does good food, the other does good ale. That's pretty much it for the village itself, which is quiet.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. You can walk straight out from the door into the countryside. Chatsworth House is about a twenty minute drive. Bakewell and Matlock are about twenty minutes as well. Chesterfield, with its famous crooked spire church, is about ten minutes away.
For facilities: There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking and you can store bikes. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the bathroom is upstairs.
