The Old Church is a converted church in Alton, Derbyshire. It's detached and sleeps four.
There are two bedrooms upstairs. They both have en-suite bathrooms with showers. The bathrooms have underfloor heating. There's a third bathroom downstairs with a freestanding bath.
The kitchen is oak. It has a coffee machine and a breakfast bar. There are French doors that go down a step into the dining room. The living room has a wood burner. The main features are the original arched windows and the stonework. The finish everywhere is high spec.
You can park two, maybe three cars on the drive. There's a garden at the back with seating. It looks out over fields towards Bolsover Castle.
Alton is a quiet hamlet. Ashover village is about a mile away. It has a couple of pubs and shops. The nearest pub or shop is about a mile and a half.
Matlock is six miles away for a bigger town. Bakewell is about twenty minutes by car. Chatsworth House is a fifteen minute drive. So are Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall. For walks, you can start from the door and link into the Ashover footpaths.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
