Bee Keepers Cottage is on our farm, right on the edge of the Peak District. It's detached. The garden's yours to use.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Everything's on the ground floor, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's bright and modern inside, very open plan. The kitchen has everything you'd need.
Outside, there are a couple of seating areas and a BBQ. You can park right by the door. The garden looks out over fields. There's a golf course next to the property grounds, and miles of footpaths start from the farm gate.
You're welcome to go and see the horses in the barn next door. Just keep an eye on kids around them, they're big animals.
The local pub is about a mile away in Shirland. They do food.
For days out, Matlock Bath is about 15 minutes by car. Chatsworth House is maybe 25 minutes. Hardwick Hall is a similar drive. You can get to Bakewell or into Derby in under half an hour.
If you're walking, the Peak District is right there. For planning, the Peak District National Park site is useful. For historic houses, National Trust Derbyshire has the details.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs. The entrance is step-free and there's plenty of parking.
