Little Barn is in Shirland. It's a detached barn conversion on an equestrian centre. I live on-site with the horses, sheep, chickens, and a friendly dog. The barn looks out over fields and it's next to a golf course.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. Everything is on the ground floor. The wet room shower is good.
The inside is open plan. The furniture is a mix of things, some of it a bit quirky. It's light and spacious. You get the patio to yourselves, with a view towards Crich Stand.
You can walk or cycle from the door. The local pub is about a mile away. They do food. For other places to walk, the Teversal Trail network is close by.
Within a 15 minute drive you've got Matlock, which has shops, and the Crich Tramway Museum. The Heights of Abraham at Matlock Bath are worth a visit.
For a day out, Hardwick Hall is about 20 minutes away. It's a National Trust property. National Trust Hardwick Hall. Chatsworth House is about a 30 minute drive.
Chesterfield is 20 minutes away if you need a bigger town, or to see the Crooked Spire.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
