The Hollies is a one-bedroom cottage we built in our garden in Slack. It's detached, so you're on your own. We're next door if you need anything.
It sleeps two. One bedroom with a double bed, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on the ground floor and the entrance is level, so it's suitable if you have limited mobility.
You can bring one dog. There's a decked area with a table and chairs that gets the sun in the afternoon. The kitchen is small but has a dishwasher. There's parking right outside.
It's very quiet here. The village of Tansley is a short walk away, and it has a shop and a couple of pubs. Matlock is about two miles. It's a proper town with supermarkets, shops, and places to eat.
For walks, you're right in the Derbyshire Dales. The Peak District National Park authority site has good route ideas. The High Peak Trail is close by for cycling or a flat walk.
Chatsworth House is about twenty minutes by car. So is Bakewell. For something closer, the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath has cable cars and cavern tours. You can find activity centres nearby if you want canoeing or climbing.
