Penny Cottage
Penny Cottage is in Bonsall. It's a detached stone cottage right on the main village street, which is also the Limestone Way walking route. You look out over the fields at the back.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. It's warm and the wood burner is good. The stairs are steep and narrow, which is typical for a cottage this age.
The garden is private and gets the sun in the evening. You can sit out there.
There's a good local pub about a ten minute walk away, they do food. A tea room is a bit closer. For a big shop, you'd go to Matlock which is about four miles.
Being on the Limestone Way is handy. You can walk straight out the door onto it. The Peak District is right there. Cromford Mills and the Arkwright sites are a short drive. Matlock Bath is close if you want fish and chips by the river. Bakewell is about twenty minutes away. Chatsworth is maybe twenty five minutes.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. Parking is on the street outside the cottage, it's usually fine. No pets.
