Honeysuckle Cottage is in Grangemill, up near Wirksworth. It's a stone barn conversion, semi-detached. The views from the back are good, just fields and hills.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The living area is open plan.
You get your own enclosed garden. There's also a shared play area for kids that the other cottages here can use. We've got some animals on the farm: two pigs called Sally and Toni, some ponies, and chickens.
The stairs inside are quite steep. It's that sort of cottage.
There's a local pub about a mile away. A restaurant is three miles. In the summer, there's a brewery over the fields you can walk to. They have events sometimes. Some takeaways in the area deliver here.
Matlock Bath is about five miles. That's where the Heights of Abraham cable cars are, and Gulliver's Kingdom. The Peak District Mining Museum is there too.
Chatsworth House is about seven miles. That's a big day out. The house and gardens are huge. You can easily spend a full day there.
For walking, you're right in the southern Peak District. Carsington Water is close for a stroll or cycling. The High Peak Trail and the Tissington Trail are both nearby if you want a proper leg-stretch.
Facilities: parking is on site. There's a washing machine, a woodburning stove, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets, sorry.
This cottage can be booked with Clematis and Jasmine Cottage next door if you've got a bigger group.
