Barnes Cottage

Barnes Cottage is on the main street in Youlgreave. It's mid-terrace.

There are two bedrooms upstairs. One is a double, the other has bunk beds. Four people is comfortable. There’s one bathroom. Upstairs and downstairs. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it’s generally well put together.

The front yard is paved and fully enclosed. There’s a table out there. You can sit with your tea and watch the village go by.

Inside, you’ve got a wood burner in the living room. It heats the place up nicely if it’s cold. Everything you’d expect is here: TV, Wi-Fi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are all provided.

The stairs are quite steep. It's an old cottage, that's how they are. You'll want to be a bit careful.

You don't have to go far for anything. There’s a shop about a minute's walk away, and three pubs. They all serve food. The cottage is on the main road, so you get some traffic noise during the day. It quietens down at night.

Youlgreave is on the Limestone Way. Good for walks straight from the door. Bakewell is a ten minute drive, or there’s a bus. Chatsworth House is about twenty minutes away. Matlock Bath is maybe twenty-five.

It’s a straightforward cottage. Good for a couple, a small family, or friends walking. We accept one well-behaved dog.
