Wild Flower Cottage is in Youlgreave. It's a terraced miner's cottage, so it's compact. It sleeps four, two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The front looks out straight onto fields. The back has a decked terrace, which gets the evening sun.
Inside, there are some exposed stone walls and beams. The stairs are fairly steep, which is normal for these old places. There's a wood burner in the living room.
Youlgreave itself is a quiet village. There's a couple of shops and a few pubs, all about a five minute walk away. It's a proper walking and cycling area. Bradford Dale is just down the hill from the cottage. There's a natural pool there if you fancy a cold swim.
Bakewell is about a fifteen minute drive. You can get onto the Monsal Trail from there, which is a flat, traffic-free path. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are also about fifteen minutes away by car.
For facilities, there's the wood burner, the terrace, a washing machine, a TV, and parking. We provide all bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
If you're planning walks, the Peak District National Park site is useful. For the big historic houses, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall have their own sites with visiting information.
