Wild Flower Cottage
Wild Flower Cottage is a small terraced house on Main Street in Youlgreave. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and has one bathroom.
It’s a 4 Star place. That means it’s comfortable, clean, and in good order. It’s a very old house, so there are some steep cottage stairs. Something to know if you've got bags or a dodgy knee.
We've kept the stone walls and beams. It's cosy. There’s a wood burner and logs are provided. Out the back is a small decked terrace with views over fields.
The village is quiet and the neighbours are friendly. There’s a shop and a pub a couple of minutes’ walk away. Youlgreave has its own water supply from springs. The source is a walk down at Bradford Dale. Some people swim in the pools there, but it's cold.
You’re right in the Peak District here. For walks, you step out the door onto footpaths. Bakewell is a fifteen minute drive and has all the shops you'd need. From there you can get onto the Monsal Trail for a flat, traffic-free cycle or walk.
If you want grand houses, Chatsworth is a twenty minute drive and Haddon Hall is about fifteen minutes away.
Included at the cottage: a washing machine, TV, towels and bed linen. We can put a cot and highchair in for you. The garden is enclosed. Sorry, pets can't stay.
