Brookside Cottage
Brookside Cottage is in Beeley. It's a 17th century semi-detached place. It's quiet, right in the Peak District.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable.
The cottage has the old features, like beams and stonework. The windows are deep set, the way they built them back then. The stairs are cottage stairs. They're fine, just mind your head.
Out the back there's a rock garden with a gravelled bit to sit on. You can have one well-behaved dog.
The village is small. There's a tea room and a pub about 100 yards away, both run by the Chatsworth Estate. The pub does food.
You're about ten minutes drive from Bakewell. Chatsworth House is basically on the doorstep, maybe two miles. For walks, you step out the door and you're straight onto paths. Horse riding can be booked locally.
Facilities: there's a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot and a highchair. There's parking for one car on the drive.
