The Old Vicarage is in Curbar, right in the Peak District. It's the part that used to be the servants' quarters for the big vicarage next door. It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, clean, and well kept. There are some oak stairs down to the utility room in the lower ground floor. They're fine, but watch your step.
You have your own private garden at the back. It's a good spot to sit out.
The local pub is about a hundred yards away. They do food. The nearest shop is about half a mile.
You're basically here for the walking. Curbar Edge is right there. You can walk straight onto it. The views from the top are very good. You can carry on along Froggatt Edge and Baslow Edge from there.
Bakewell is about fifteen minutes by car. Chatsworth is the same. You can walk to Chatsworth from Baslow if you're feeling keen. Baslow village is five minutes away by car and has a few shops.
Haddon Hall is about twenty minutes' drive. Places like Buxton, Castleton, and Hathersage are all within half an hour if you want to explore.
For facilities: there's a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site, and there's an electric vehicle charger. WiFi and TV are there.
