Manor Cottage
Manor Cottage is in Wardlow. It's a detached house, just off the village lane. It's limestone built, which is typical for here.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, and each has its own bath or shower room. That's the main thing. It's got a five-star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The kitchen is large, a farmhouse style. The living room has a wood burner. Outside is a large, enclosed courtyard garden with good views over the fields. The views are the best bit.
You can walk straight from the door. There's a path up Wardlow Hay Cop into Cressbrook Dale. In spring, it's full of orchids and cowslips.
The nearest pub is about two miles away in Litton. A shop is a bit further, in Tideswell, which is two and a half miles. Tideswell has most things you'd need. Bakewell is about a ten-minute drive for a bigger supermarket and the Monday market.
Chatsworth House is twenty minutes by car. So is Haddon Hall. Buxton, with its opera house and pavilion gardens, is half an hour away. You're right in the Peak District National Park.
For facilities: there's parking on site, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
