Ashford Cottage
This is Ashford Cottage. It's on a working dairy farm near Over Haddon. The cottage itself is a bungalow, so it's all on one level. No stairs. It's for two people, one bedroom and one bathroom.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well kept. You'll get fresh milk from the farm when you arrive, which is a nice touch.
There's a patio and garden area that's just for you. The view is over fields. The farm has animals, so you'll see cows and sheep around.
It's very quiet here. You can walk straight out onto footpaths from the doorstep. The nearest proper town is Bakewell, which is about a mile and a half walk. It's a nice walk along the river. Bakewell has shops and places to eat.
There are two village pubs in Monyash, which is also close by. They're about a mile and a half away. Both do food.
For a day out, Chatsworth House is a short drive away. The Monsal Trail is very close for cycling or walking. If you want to explore further, the whole Peak District is right here.
Facilities: it has a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring dogs, up to three.
There are other cottages on the same farm, so it can be good if a group is booking a few places together.
