The Pottery Annexe
The Pottery Annexe is in Baslow. It's a ground floor flat attached to the back of the house. We run a pottery workshop from the main building, so you might hear the wheel or see us moving clay about during the day. It's not loud, just a bit of thumping now and then.
It sleeps four, but it's one bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed in the living area. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean, but it's not a show home. The bathroom is en-suite.
The best bit is the garden. It's partly walled, looks out over the fields, and gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a patio with a table and a barbecue.
You're really here for the location. Chatsworth Park is literally a two minute walk up the lane. You can be through the gates and walking by the river in no time. The village has a couple of pubs that do food. Bakewell is about five miles away.
For days out, you're spoiled. Haddon Hall is a beautiful old manor house about ten minutes by car. The Peak District stuff is all within half an hour. That means Castleton for the caves, Edale for walking up onto Kinder Scout, or the Hope Valley for a drive.
Facilities: there's parking right outside, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. There's a locked shed for bikes. Sorry, no pets.
