Lindwood

Lindwood is on the hill going up from Bakewell town centre. It's a small stone cottage that sleeps four, two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The decoration is simple and warm.

You park in the garage or on the road outside. The front door opens straight into the main room, which is all open plan. Kitchen at one end, dining table, then living area with a sofa and TV. There's a wood burner, which is good for cooler evenings. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and one with a double, and the shower room. The walls are a bit curved in places because it's an old cottage, and you can see the original beams.

Outside there's a small garden area with a bistro table and two chairs.

It's about a five minute walk downhill into Bakewell. There are pubs, shops, and the famous pudding shops. You can walk to Chatsworth from here, it's a nice longer walk through the park. For a shorter stroll, the Monsal Trail start is close by.

Matlock and Buxton are both about twenty minutes drive away. The whole Peak District is on your doorstep for walking.

In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, WiFi is included, all bedding and towels are provided, and there's storage for bikes. No pets allowed.
