It's called Lindwood. It's a cottage in Bakewell, on a hill leading out of the town centre. You can walk down into the town in a few minutes, which is handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms. One has a king-size bed, the other a double. There's one bathroom upstairs with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. The description says "luxury" but I'd say it's just a nice, well-kept cottage. It's comfortable.
Downstairs is all open plan. Kitchen, dining table, and living area in one room. There's a wood burner. The stairs are normal. The ceilings are low upstairs in places because of the beams. Just mind your head.
Outside there's a small garden area with a little table and chairs. You can park on the drive.
Bakewell itself is all there, right on the doorstep. Pubs, shops, the whole lot. The famous pudding shop is down there. You can walk to Chatsworth House from the cottage, though it's a fair walk. Driving is easier.
Good walking nearby. The Monsal Trail is close. It's a traffic-free path along an old railway line. For a bigger day out, Matlock Bath and Buxton are both about half an hour's drive. Matlock Bath has the cable car up to the Heights of Abraham. Buxton is a proper spa town with the Opera House and Pavilion Gardens.
Facilities: Washing machine, WiFi, towels and bedding are included. There's bike storage. No pets.
