This is Periwinkle Cottage. It's in Great Longstone, which is a village in the Peak District. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.
The cottage is terraced, built from stone like most around here. You go in through a stable door. The main room has French windows that look out onto a wildflower meadow at the back. There's a wood burner. The stairs up to the bedroom are cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep.
The garden is enclosed. There's a patio with a table and chairs.
In the village, there's a shop and two pubs, all about a five minute walk. The Monsal Trail runs right through the village. It's good for walking or cycling. Peak District National Park: Monsal Trail.
Bakewell is about ten minutes away by car. That's where you'll find most of the shops, a supermarket, and places to eat. You can also get onto the Monsal Trail from there. Ashford-in-the-Water is even closer, just down the road.
Chatsworth House is about a twenty minute drive. Chatsworth. Buxton, with the opera house, is maybe twenty five minutes. Castleton, with the caverns, is about half an hour.
It's a four star place. That means it's well kept. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's parking on site.
