Periwinkle Cottage is in Great Longstone, a village in the Peak District. It's a small, terraced stone cottage for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's been done up well.
You come in through a stable door. The main room has a wood burner, an oak floor, and the walls are part exposed stone. French doors open onto a view of a wildflower meadow. There's a small, enclosed patio garden with a table and chairs.
The stairs are steep. They're normal for a cottage this size, but worth mentioning.
The village has a small shop and two pubs, both about a five minute walk. They serve food. The Monsal Trail for walking and cycling runs right through the village. You can follow it to Bakewell, which is about three miles.
Bakewell has all the shops and cafes you'd need. Ashford-in-the-Water is the next village over, maybe a ten minute drive. Buxton is about twenty minutes away. For a day out, Chatsworth House is a fifteen minute drive. You're right in the middle of the Peak District National Park, so walking routes are everywhere.
Facilities: there's parking for one car, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
