Haddon Cottage is in Over Haddon, right up above Lathkill Dale. You look straight out over the valley from the front garden. It's a working farm, so yes, there are cows. Fresh milk to greet you.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's clean and in good nick.
The road up to it is steep. Worth knowing if you're driving a big car. There's proper parking though.
You can walk straight out onto the path down into the dale. It's steep coming back up. Bakewell is a walk down the fields and a bit of lane, about twenty five minutes. Good for cafes and that famous pudding shop. The Lathkill Hotel in the village does food.
Monsal Head is a few minutes' drive, or a decent walk. Good for a photo. Chatsworth House is about twenty minutes by car. National Trust Peak District and Peak District National Park sites have walking maps.
Inside, it's got a wood burner for chilly evenings, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are here. The kitchen is fine for making a meal.
Pets are welcome. Up to three, I think, but best to check with me.
