So this is Bradley Hall. It's in Birchover, which is a village in the Peak District. You're looking at a Georgian house from 1774. It's detached and quite large. It's got four bedrooms and sleeps eight people.
It's got two bathrooms. The stairs are fine, but it's an old house so you might notice them being a bit steeper than modern ones.
There's a kitchen with a gas range cooker and a separate pantry. The dining table seats eight. It's got original fireplaces and flagstone floors in places, and those old windows with the thick bits in between. The garden at the back gets the afternoon sun. There's an outdoor table, a BBQ, a fire pit with a pizza oven ring on it, and a hot tub on the decking.
You can walk straight from the house onto the hills. The village is surrounded by big rocks and tors. There are two pubs in the village, both of them decent.
Chatsworth House is about a twenty minute drive away. So is Haddon Hall. Both are worth seeing. Carsington Water is within half an hour if you want to sail or windsurf.
For facilities, it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. Parking is on site. We allow up to two dogs.
It's got a 4 Star rating.
If you're planning trips out, the Peak District National Park website has good information: Peak District National Park. For the historic houses: Chatsworth and Haddon Hall.
