Little Sitch Barn is in Starkholmes, which is just on the edge of Matlock. It's a converted stone barn. Detached, so it's on its own. You get the little garden too. It's south-facing so it catches the sun.
The barn is really for two people. One bedroom upstairs, one shower room downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's been done up nicely. The stairs are a fairly standard spiral staircase, so just mind your head coming down.
The main thing is the sunroom on the front. It's a proper room with chairs and a table, not just a porch. You come in through there. The kitchen is new, and there's a woodburning stove in the living area.
Starkholmes is quiet, but you can walk into Matlock Bath in about twenty minutes. That's where the cable car goes up to the Heights of Abraham. Matlock town centre is a bit closer for shops.
For a good day out, Chatsworth House is about twenty minutes by car. Haddon Hall is a bit closer. Carsington Water is maybe fifteen minutes away if you fancy sailing or a walk round the reservoir.
The garden is fully enclosed, so it's fine for one well-behaved dog. There's parking for one car right by the barn. It's all on one level inside except for the stairs up to the bedroom. WiFi is included. There's a dishwasher and a TV.
