Barn Owl Cottage
Barn Owl Cottage is on our farm in Cromford. It used to be a barn from the 1700s. We've done it up so it's comfortable now, but you can still see some of the old bits, like the stonework.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The bathroom is on the ground floor. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and everything works, but it's not a show home.
It's a working farm, so you'll see the chickens around. There's an old ice house out the back which is interesting. The garden is yours to use.
You're right in the Derwent Valley. There are footpaths from the door. The nearest pub is about a ten minute walk. For shops, Matlock and Matlock Bath are a five minute drive. They've got the usual things.
Bakewell is about twenty minutes away. Chatsworth House is maybe twenty five minutes. Carsington Water is close for a walk or a sail, about ten minutes by car.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one dog.
If you're looking for places to visit, the National Trust and Visit Peak District sites are useful.
