Clematis Cottage
Clematis Cottage is in Aldwark, in the Derbyshire countryside. It's a converted barn, so it's all on one level which is handy. It's detached, so you've got your own space.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main room has a wood burner for heat and atmosphere. The kitchen has granite worktops and there's a washing machine. Outside there's a patio with a table and chairs, and it looks out over the fields and hills.
There's a shared play area for children on the site. The family who own the place keep some ponies, chickens, and two pot-bellied pigs there. You might see them about.
The local pub is within walking distance. In the summer, there's a brewery you can walk to over the fields that holds events. The nearest restaurant is about three miles away, and some local takeaways will deliver.
For things to do, Matlock Bath and the Heights of Abraham are about five miles away. Chatsworth House is roughly seven miles. If you're walking, the Peak District paths start nearby.
Facilities include WiFi, a TV, parking right there, and bedding and towels are provided. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. No pets allowed.
