Clematis Cottage is in Aldwark. That's a small place near Wirksworth in Derbyshire. It's a detached, single-storey barn conversion, so everything's on one level. The front looks out over fields and hills.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is modern, with granite worktops. The lounge has a wood burner. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
The cottage is on the same land as a well-run family campsite. They have a small shop, a play area, and they keep some animals like chickens and ponies. It's generally quiet, but you will see campers around in the summer.
You have your own patio and garden area to use. Parking is right outside.
For walks, you can step straight out onto the hills. The High Peak Trail and Black Rocks are close by. Matlock Bath is about five miles away. It's a quirky place with attractions like the Heights of Abraham cable cars and Gulliver's Kingdom. Chatsworth House is about seven miles. That's the big one for a day out.
Wirksworth is the nearest proper town, about three miles. It has pubs, cafes, and a supermarket.
Facilities include a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and bedding and towels are provided. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. No pets allowed.
