This is Forget-Me-Not, one of two shepherds huts we have on the edge of Bradbourne, near Parwich. It's out in a field, so it's quiet. You'll see sheep. The view is just fields and sky.
It's a 4 Star hut, which means it's comfortable and everything works. It sleeps four, but it's all in one room. There's a double bed and a bunk bed above the dining table. It's cleverly done, but it is one space, so it's best for a family or close friends. There's a proper shower and loo in a separate bit at the end.
You've got a little kitchen with an oven and hob, a fridge, and a TV. The WiFi usually works okay. Outside, there's a table, chairs, a barbecue, and a firepit. We supply the wood for the firepit.
The other hut, Foxglove, is identical. You can book both together if you're a group of up to eight.
We're about five miles from Ashbourne. The village pub in Parwich is a couple of miles away, it does food. For walking, you're right in it. The Peak District National Park site has all the maps. The Tissington Trail is very close, good for bikes and easy walks. Dovedale and the stepping stones are about a 15-minute drive. Carsington Water is about 20 minutes for sailing or cycling. And if that's your thing, Alton Towers is also roughly 20 minutes drive.
Facilities are all there: bedding and towels are included, you have parking right by the hut, and there's bike storage. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
