April Cottage

This is April Cottage. It's in Youlgreave, which is right in the middle of the Peak District. The cottage itself is about 250 years old. It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The owner lives on-site, so if you need anything or have a question about the area, she's there.

The cottage is in the village centre. There’s a shop and a tea room about 200 yards away. There are three pubs, the closest is 100 yards. They all do food.

Youlgreave is a good base for walking. You can walk to Haddon Hall from here in about 40 minutes. By car, it's only a few minutes. Chatsworth House is also a short drive. Bakewell is close, and the market towns of Buxton and Ashbourne are within about 30 minutes.

For facilities, there's a woodburning stove, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking and an electric vehicle charger. There's a small patio garden.

A couple of things to know. The stairs are steep and narrow. It's an old cottage, so that's just how they are. Also, the owner is next door, so you'll see her around, but you have your own space.
