April Cottage

April Cottage is in Youlgreave, right in the middle of the village. It's old, about 250 years old, so it's a proper stone cottage. The house next door is mine. I live there.

It sleeps three people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Because it's old, the ceilings are low in places and the stairs are steep, just so you know.

You've got your own little walled garden out the back. It's south facing so it gets the sun. There's parking for one car on the drive, and an electric vehicle charger if you need it.

You're about 100 yards from one pub and 200 from another. There's a village shop and a post office. A good vegetarian bakery too.

For walks, you can step right out the door. You can walk to Haddon Hall in about 40 minutes if you follow the path. Chatsworth House is about a 20 minute drive. Bakewell is ten minutes away by car.

Inside, there's a wood burning stove, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. All the bedding and towels are included. The cottage has an environmental quality mark, which means we try to run it efficiently.
