Hartle is in Alport. It's a granite barn that's been converted, one of eight cottages around a cobbled yard at Harthill Hall. The hall's old, Henry VIII supposedly stayed here. You share about 14 acres of grounds with the other cottages.
It's a two bedroom place, sleeps four. There's one bathroom with a shower. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well kept. The rooms have thick stone walls and wooden beams. The floors are flagstone in parts, so it can feel cool underfoot.
You've got your own patio and garden area. There's on site parking. Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
The main draw here is the shared leisure building. There's an indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, and a solarium. There's also a games room and a kids' play area outside.
The location is good for walking straight from the door. Bakewell is about ten minutes' drive. There's a pub a mile away, and the nearest shop is in Youlgreave, about three miles.
Within half an hour you can get to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and the trails at Peak District National Park. For other ideas, National Trust Peak District has a list of their properties nearby.
