Bookkeepers Place
Bookkeepers Place is a one bedroom flat right in the centre of Bakewell. It's in an old listed building called Welford House. You can pull up outside to unload, then there's a private parking space about a minute's walk away.
It's just for two people. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main thing is it's been done up well and it's clean. There's a balcony that gets the sun and looks out over the street. You can see the Bakewell Tart shop from it.
You're really in the middle of things. There are shops, a pub, and places to eat all within a couple of minutes' walk. The River Wye is just down the road if you want to sit by it or go for a walk. For a longer walk or a cycle, the Monsal Trail starts nearby. It's traffic-free and goes all the way to Buxton.
Chatsworth House is about ten minutes away by car. Haddon Hall is close too. If you drive for half an hour you can get to places like Castleton or the plague village at Eyam. Sheffield and Manchester are both about an hour if you need a city.
In the flat there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. It's all on one floor except for the stairs up to the bedroom. The parking space is a proper one, it's not on the street.
