Whitehouse Farm
Whitehouse Farm is an old barn we converted, attached to our house but you can't see in. We don't farm anymore. It sleeps 14. Six bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is very big and solid, not fancy but comfortable. The views across the dales are good.
You can walk to Hartington village in maybe 20 minutes. There's a shop, pubs, a café, and the cheese shop. There's a local pub at Biggin you can walk to across the fields in about 20 minutes too.
The best thing is the walking. You can get straight onto Peak District paths from the door. Wolfscote Dale and Beresford Dale are stunning. For an easier stroll with kids, you can go to Hartington Meadows or down to the mere.
Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock, and Ashbourne are all about 20 minutes away by car for supermarkets and things. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are about a 25 minute drive. So is the Peak Wildlife Park. There's a bus stop down the lane if you don't want to drive.
Facilities: everything on the list is there. The garden is enclosed. There's parking. There's an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry. And we don't take hen or stag parties.
