Skylark View is in Matlock. It's a second-floor apartment, so you're up high. The views are really good, especially from the living room.
It sleeps five, in two bedrooms. One's a kingsize with its own shower room, the other has twin beds and there's another good shower room too. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and well looked after.
The main living area is all open-plan. It's been done up nicely. The kitchen's in there too. There's a washing machine, TV, and the WiFi usually works fine. Bedding and towels are included.
You're about a five-minute walk down into Matlock town centre. There's a pub about 200 yards away. Shops and places to eat are a quarter of a mile.
Being where it is, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. For walks, you can start from the town itself. The High Peak Trail is just south of Matlock if you've got bikes. Matlock Bath is along the road, that's where the cable car goes up to the Heights of Abraham. It's got caves and trails up there.
Within half an hour you can get to quite a lot. Bakewell is about eight miles. Chatsworth House is roughly the same distance. The National Tramway Museum at Crich is a short drive. Buxton isn't much further.
There's parking on site for one car. You can store bicycles. No pets, sorry.
If you're planning to explore the area, the Peak District National Park site has good information.
