Swallow View
This is Swallow View. It's a third floor flat on the edge of Matlock town centre. You get a great view over the town and the valley towards Riber Castle from the living room windows.
It sleeps four or five in two bedrooms. One has an en-suite shower room, and there's another bathroom as well. The living area is open plan, with the kitchen and a dining space. It's all on the one floor once you're up there.
The stairs up to the flat are internal but they're fairly steep, so it's something to be aware of. There's parking for one car on site, right outside.
You're about a five minute walk from the middle of Matlock. There's a pub 200 yards away that does food. Shops and places to eat are a quarter of a mile.
Matlock Bath is just down the road. It's a classic day out. You can get the cable car up to the Heights of Abraham for the views and the caves. For walking, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. The High Peak Trail starts nearby if you've got bikes.
Within half an hour you can be at Chatsworth House, or Haddon Hall, or the market town of Bakewell. The National Tramway Museum at Crich is about fifteen minutes away.
For facilities, it's got a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cupboard on the ground floor you can use for bike storage. No pets.
