Chestnut Cottage
Chestnut Cottage is on our small farm near Hollins in Derbyshire. It's the bungalow, so everything's on the ground floor. The access is level, and there's a walk-in shower.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a Four Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You've got your own little patio out the French windows. It's south facing and catches the sun nicely. The garden area beyond that is sometimes shared with our other cottage if both are booked, but otherwise it's yours.
The local pub is a few minutes' walk down the lane. The nearest shop is about two miles away in the village.
The biggest thing here is you can just walk out the gate. There's a public footpath across the fields that goes straight up to the Linacre reservoirs. It's a really good walk, takes about half an hour uphill. It's moorland and woods up there, with proper views.
By car, you're in the middle of everything. Chatsworth House is about a 15 minute drive. So are Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall. Bakewell, Matlock, and Chesterfield are all within 20 minutes for markets and shops.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: a washing machine, a TV, that sort of thing. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's parking right outside.
We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. Just please keep them off the furniture.
