Little Hive

This is Little Hive. It's a first-floor apartment in a converted barn on a 40-acre horse farm just outside Dronfield. It's detached and gated, so you're not overlooked. The views are over the fields. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well put together.

It sleeps two people in one bedroom. There's one bathroom. The layout is open plan. It's all recently done, the kitchen has what you need, and the bed is comfortable. The stairs up to the apartment are a proper farmhouse staircase, so they're a bit steeper than a normal house.

You're on the edge of the Peak District. You can walk straight from the door onto the farm tracks. For a proper walk, the Peak District National Park is about a 15-minute drive. Peak District National Park Authority has all the route information.

Dronfield town centre is a short walk. There are shops, cafes, and pubs that serve food. You're halfway between Sheffield and Chesterfield. Sheffield is about 15 minutes by car for restaurants and theatres. In Chesterfield, you've got the market and that famous crooked spire.

Within half an hour you can get to a lot. Chatsworth House is maybe 25 minutes. Hathersage has the outdoor lido and good walks. The Ladybower reservoirs are up that way too for cycling or fishing. National Trust Chatsworth and English Heritage Hardwick Hall are both close if you like stately homes.
