The Gatehouse
The Gatehouse is in Dronfield town centre. It's one of two cottages here, next to the Garden House. You can book them together if you need space for six.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after and comfortable. Everything's on one level so there are no steps inside, which is handy. The front door is wheelchair accessible.
There's a small enclosed patio garden out the back. It's private. On site parking for one car is included, which is useful here.
You're right in the middle of things. Shops and a pub are about a minute's walk. A few decent restaurants are a couple of minutes further. It's all very close.
The main thing is the location for the Peak District. You can be in the national park in ten minutes by car. From there you can go walking straight away. Peak District National Park has all the route information.
Chatsworth House is about half an hour's drive. It's a big day out. Bakewell and the plague village of Eyam are also within that sort of distance. Chesterfield is ten minutes south, Sheffield is twenty minutes north. Both have everything you'd expect from a town.
Inside, it's got a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. All bedding and towels are provided. No pets, sorry.
