The Limes
The Limes is in Swanwick. It's one of four cottages on the old farm here, so you'll see neighbours, but it's quiet. You get the enclosed garden to yourself.
It sleeps 14 people. There are six bedrooms and, usefully, six bathrooms. Everyone can get ready at the same time. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well-equipped and comfortable, not just basic.
Inside, the kitchen is big enough for a few people to help. There's a games room with a pool table. The stairs are a typical farmhouse staircase, so they turn and are a bit steep.
Outside, there's a patio with a BBQ and furniture. The garden is enclosed. You can store bikes. Parking is right there.
On site, there's a shared outdoor play area for kids. A local pub is about a ten-minute walk away. They do food.
The location is good for getting out. You're near the Peak District National Park for walking and cycling. Carsington Water is about 15 minutes by car for sailing and cycling. Matlock Bath is 20 minutes away, which is a bit old-fashioned but the kids like the attractions. For a bigger town, Derby is about half an hour.
Facilities included are: bedding and towels, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets allowed, sorry.
