Ling Farm Cottage is on our working beef farm in Grassmoor. It's semi-detached and you've got your own patio with a wooden table, which looks out onto the fields.
It's got two bedrooms and sleeps four. One bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's been renovated so it's in good nick. The stairs are a bit steep.
There's a wood burner in the living room. We leave you a basket of logs to get you started. The kitchen is open plan with a dining table. You've got a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
It's a farm, so you'll see cows and hear the occasional tractor. If you've got little ones, you need to keep an eye on them, especially near the farmyard.
The local pub is about three-quarters of a mile away in Heath. It serves food. The nearest shop is a mile away.
You're on the edge of the Peak District. For walking, the Peak District National Park site has good routes. Carsington Water is about a 15-minute drive. You can walk all the way around it if you're keen.
Chatsworth House is roughly 25 minutes by car. Hardwick Hall is about the same. The market town of Bakewell is half an hour away. Matlock Bath is worth a visit, especially if you like amusement arcades and fish & chips. Crich Tramway Museum is about 20 minutes away.
There's parking right outside the cottage. No pets, I'm afraid.
