Bryn Tor - The Gardener's House

This is Bryn Tor, The Gardener's House. It's in Bolsover. It's a semi-detached house, built in the 1930s. We've done it up in an art deco style, so it looks the part inside.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are in the description for a reason, they're steep and a bit narrow in places. If you've got very young kids or anyone unsteady on their feet, you'll need to keep an eye on them.

You can bring two dogs. There's a garden, it's not huge but it's yours to use. It's got a washing machine, dishwasher, a wood burner, and parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.

The local pub is about half a mile away. There's a shop and a restaurant three quarters of a mile. Bolsover itself has a market on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Bolsover Castle is basically on the doorstep. It's run by English Heritage, so that's a good day out. Bolsover Castle.

For wider trips, Chesterfield with its crooked spire is about 20 minutes by car. Hardwick Hall is about 20 minutes too. The Peak District is close. You can be in Edale or Castleton in under 40 minutes. Bakewell and Chatsworth House are within an hour's drive.
