Miners Cottage Stanfree

Miners Cottage is in Stanfree. It's a small place, used to be a mining village. The cottage itself is an annexe, attached to the main house which is the original miner's cottage. The annexe was built more recently.

It's for two people. One bedroom with a kingsize bed, one shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxury. Everything works.

You've got your own little garden with a patio and your own parking space right there.

Inside, there's a living room, a fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, a TV, and WiFi. There's a washing machine too. All your bedding and towels are included.

About fifty yards from the door there's a public footpath. You can walk straight out into the countryside from there.

Stanfree is quiet, but it's a proper village where people live and work. You'll hear some traffic sometimes. It's not remote.

There's nothing in the village itself, no shop or pub. For that, you drive to Clowne, about a mile away. They've got shops, takeaways, a couple of pubs, and a sports centre with a pool.

A car is pretty necessary here. The bus service exists but it's not great.

You're well placed for getting out. Bolsover Castle is close. Chesterfield with its crooked spire is a short drive. The Peak District is maybe twenty minutes away. Sherwood Forest is about half an hour.
