Miners Cottage is an annexe attached to the main house. The main house is a miner's cottage built in 1897. The annexe is newer. It's in Stanfree, an old mining village just outside Clowne.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a kingsize bed, one shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean.
There's a small private patio with a garden area. You get your own parking space.
The village is quiet but not isolated. People live and work here, so there's some traffic. There are no shops or pubs in Stanfree itself. Clowne village is about a mile away for shops, takeaways, and a couple of pubs. There's a sports centre with a pool there too.
A public footpath starts about 50 yards from the door. You can walk straight into the countryside from there.
Bolsover Castle is very close. Chesterfield is about a 15 minute drive, you can see the twisted spire as you come in. The Peak District is within half an hour for bigger walks. Sherwood Forest is about 25 minutes away.
You'll need a car. The bus service isn't reliable.
It's got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
