Bay Tree House is in Peak Dale, which is a small village just outside Buxton. It's a modern semi-detached house on a quiet cul-de-sac. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids, and you get it to yourselves.
It sleeps five people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite off the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything is clean and works.
The living area is all open-plan. There's a big table for meals, sofas, and the kitchen. The doors from the living room fold back to open onto the patio if the weather's good. There's a utility room with a washing machine just off the hallway, which is handy for leaving muddy boots.
We've got a lockable metal shed round the side if you bring bikes. You can park two cars on the drive.
Buxton is about three miles away. It's a proper town with shops, cafes, and the Opera House. The National Trust Peak District page is good for planning walks. You're right in the middle of the Peak District here.
For local attractions, Chatsworth House is about a 25 minute drive. The caves at Castleton, like Peak Cavern, are about 20 minutes away. The traffic-free Monsal Trail for walking and cycling is very close. Mam Tor is a popular walk with great views, also about 20 minutes by car.
In terms of what's here, it's all as listed: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
