Pygreave Cottage is near Combs, just outside Buxton in the Peak District. It's a converted stable, so it's about 300 years old. The layout is a bit different because of that.
It sleeps four, but it's one bedroom upstairs with a king-size bed. You can split it into two singles if you need to. Upstairs is actually the living area, with high ceilings and beams. It's a nice space. There are two single sofa beds up there for the extra guests. Downstairs is the kitchen and the shower room.
The stairs are the original stable stairs. They're quite steep and a bit uneven. You need to watch your step.
Outside, there's parking for two cars. The garden is at the back, looking out over the valley. There's a table and chairs and a fire pit. It's very quiet. You get a good view of the sunset.
Combs Reservoir is just down the lane. It's good for a walk or some birdwatching. There's a pub in the village that does food and local ales.
You're well placed for getting out. Buxton is ten minutes away for shops. Castleton and the Hope Valley are about fifteen minutes. Edale, for the start of the Pennine Way, is maybe twenty minutes. The whole area is walking country.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Facilities wise: wifi, a smart TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher are all there. Bedding and towels are included. We take up to two dogs.
