Sycamore Cottage is out near Chinley. It's a converted milking parlour, done up in 2021. It's an end-of-terrace one. The views are good, straight out over the fields towards the hills.
It's for two people. One bedroom with its own shower room. Gets a 5 Star rating, so it's well equipped. It's open plan downstairs. There's a woodburner for the cooler evenings.
You're on a working farm. The owners live on site. They're happy to show you around the smallholding if you ask beforehand. You'll meet the sheep and pigs.
For walking, you can step right out onto the footpaths. The trek up to Kinder Scout starts nearby. Chinley station is close if you want to get the train into the Hope Valley and walk back.
There's a decent pub about a mile away, does food. Chinley village is half a mile for shops. Hayfield and Chapel-en-le-Frith are ten minutes by car.
Buxton is about twenty minutes. Castleton and Edale are the same. For a day out, Eyam and Bakewell are roughly half an hour. Chatsworth is about forty-five minutes.
The cottage has parking, wifi, a TV, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
