Toll Barn Cottage
Toll Barn Cottage is in Fernilee, on the edge of the Goyt Valley. It's a small, old stone barn that's been done up. It's for two people.
The bedroom is upstairs, over the main living space. You get up to it via a spiral staircase. I've got a photo of it, so you can see what you think. The bathroom's up there too.
Outside, there's a bit of garden with a bench. You get a parking space right next to it.
For facilities, it's got what you'd need. Wifi, TV, a wood burner, and all the bedding and towels are included. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The best thing is the walking. You can literally step out the front door and be on a path. You're right between the Fernilee and Errwood reservoirs, and the trails around there are lovely. There's a pub about five minutes walk away that does food. For a shop or more choice of places to eat, you'd drive to Whaley Bridge, which is about ten minutes.
Buxton is about a fifteen minute drive. You've got the Opera House there, and the Pavilion Gardens. Chatsworth House is maybe half an hour by car. You're right in the Peak District National Park, so if you like walking or cycling, you're set.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. Just clean up after it, please.
