Dewsnap Frost is in New Smithy, Derbyshire. It's one of two cottages in our grounds, me and my partner live in the main house. The views from here are good, out over the fields towards Kinder Scout.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's all on two floors. The kitchen has everything you'd need, including a dishwasher. There's a woodburner for cooler evenings.
You're right in the countryside here. The footpath network starts at the gate. You can walk for miles without seeing a car. The National Trust has good walking guides for the Peak District.
Chinley, Hayfield, and Chapel-en-le-Frith are about three miles away for shops and pubs. Buxton and Castleton are 15 minutes by car. Bakewell, Chatsworth, and Haddon Hall are about half an hour's drive.
For facilities, there's parking right outside, an electric vehicle charger, a washing machine, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you're bringing cycles. No pets, sorry.
If you're coming by train, Chinley station is a mile and a half away. You can walk from here to Edale along the ridges and get the train back.
