This is Broadcarr Barn in Kettleshulme. It's a converted barn, detached, so you're on your own with no one attached. It's a short walk from the village centre which has a pub. They do meals.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, one proper shower room, plus an extra toilet upstairs. The stairs are a bit steep, and there are a few steps up from the kitchen to the hallway inside. It's a 3-star place. That means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious.
You can walk straight out the door onto a footpath. That gets you onto the local hills and down to the Goyt Valley reservoirs. Good walking area. The Peak District National Park starts not far from here.
For a day out, Buxton is about twenty minutes by car. Bakewell is a bit further, maybe half an hour. Chatsworth House is about the same. You can drive to the caverns at Castleton easily.
Inside, it's got flagstone floors and beams. There's an open fire in the living room. You get coal for it. The kitchen has what you need. There's a stable door at the back that goes out to the garden. The garden is lawned, with some furniture. There's parking for several cars.
Facilities are straightforward. Washing machine, tumble dryer in the outbuilding, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
If you're planning walks or visits, the National Trust Peak District page is useful, and so is the official Peak District National Park site.
