This is Kinder, in Brook Bottom near New Mills. It's two cottages on our farm. You get the one called Kinder. It's up a track at the end of a lane, so it's quiet. The view from here is the main thing. You can see right out over the Peak District.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well done inside, underfloor heating, that sort of thing. There's a wood burner. The entrance and the wet room are wheelchair accessible.
Outside, there's a patio with a barbecue. You share a small gym and a wood-fired hot tub with the other cottage. The hot tub takes a while to heat, so you need to plan that.
You can walk straight out from the door. Footpaths go into the fields and up onto the moor. For a proper day out, the Peak District National Park is right there. Edale and Castleton are about half an hour's drive. Hayfield is closer.
New Mills and Marple Bridge are ten minutes down the hill. They've got shops, pubs, and cafes. New Mills has the Torrs Riverside Park, which is worth a look. The train from New Mills gets you into Manchester city centre in about thirty minutes.
Facilities are all included. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels. There's parking. Sorry, no pets.
